Around the East Coast in two-and-a-half weeks...

Phew! Let's see. When last I left this blog, I was heading into the Grand CQ Adventure in CT...

Since then, I've visited 6 cities in 4 states...taken over 700 pictures...and amassed over 860 emails as a result of my break from technology.

There's so much to catch up on...the Adventure was GRAND and there's lots of tales to tell which I'll attempt to do over the next few weeks...

And less than 12 hours after returning home from Connecticut, I went traveling to Florida to visit my father...

And to spend our Spring Break vacation with all my favorite men.

While there, we took a quick one day trip up to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter...

And Jack and I rode on every rollercoaster we could find -- Jimmy doesn't do rollercoasters.

And we were most interested in what "Butterbeer" tasted like...that tasty libation bought in Hogsmead and loved by Hogwarts students.

When Jack was about 7 years old, he tried to make his own Butterbeer by heating up a can of rootbeer and adding butter...He didn't like how it turned out...

The Universal Studios version tasted a lot like cream soda with a frothy buttery topping...a little too sweet for me but Jack liked it.

It's been a whirlwind of a few weeks and I'm eager to get caught up with all of you.

And Jack...He'll be 15 in August...

And he's completely enamored with his grandfather's convertible and the idea of driving a car.

Help. It's all happening much too quickly.

P.S. Tonight is book club night and we're discussing The Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother. Oh boy. That's gonna be a doozy of a discussion...So far, just threatening to become the Tiger Mother has Jack quaking in his boots!

Yeah!! I saw those teeth too. Who'da thunk that you coulda saved me about $3,000 if I had just known you had those teeth! LOL~

Jack looks great in the car. Corey has a count down going..Naga competition in Chicago (1 week away now) .. end of school... and days til he can drive alone. Now he's talking about a winter beater cause his car is too pretty (and he's right).

I figured when we didn't hear from you that you were off on spring break vacation..good for you. I LOVE the roller coasters too!

You all look great, especially your dad. So glad you got to go for a visit.

Looks like you had a fabulous time. Okay I'd say my favorite picture is of Jack in the convertible...I can see the "want it, want it, want it" in his eyes.

Glad to have you safely back.
My book club is going to see Water for Elephants tomorrow. We read the book several years ago and heard the author speak when she came to Iowa. So big night.

All your men look so handsome. Especially love the picture of you and your dad. They are all lucky to have a little 'hottie' like you hang out with them! Especially on the roller coaster ride (or the teeth in New York!!)
Glad you had a good time.

Hi

I wish I could be at the book club discussion. I had such mixed emotions when I read this book.

I will be waiting to hear what your group thought of it.

Hugs

Oh, Susan! 15 and driving soon? Now I'm quaking in *my* boots. Seems like it was just last year that you showed pictures of Jack as a 13 year old, which was probably when I first visited your blog...

And you won't believe it! We visited The Wizarding World of Harry Potter TOO. (We arrived on Easter Day though, so we would have missed you. That would have been too funny!) "Um, hello, are you Susan E.? You look awfully familiar." I would have done it, too... ;)

I love your recent posts on the CQ adventure and The Dress. Nobody posts about dresses like you do. So much to catch up on. I'll be back to visit later for a closer reading. I'm off to unpack, myself.

Happy sewing! (I bet your bookclub's discussion on the Tiger Mother must have been something else...) Just the thought of it makes me miss my old bookclub.
