Bird Love

Phew! Time flies when you're having Summer...


I'm here and playing around with that baby bluebird photo I posted about last time. I wanted to make a stylized version for an embroidery pattern.

The heart appealed to me the most so I've spent the morning trying to draw it to my liking.


And I think I'm close. I've pulled threads and now I'm ready to stitch it on my jean skirt.


Now for the fun part...

  9. I can't wait to see what you do with this. Have you thought of incorportating an eyelash yarn? Sure wish I could've seen those feathers up close! They are so interesting.

  10. Bluebirds are wonderful. Wisconsin had a program to try and get the bluebirds to come back and you would see the houses on posts all over the back roads. We put one up at the cottage but never did get any when we were there. they are so precious in the picture. Imagine when they start to grow and fly. You are very lucky to have them and I can't wait until I see your finished skirt.

    The eyelash yarn was a good idea for other birds also.
