Seams on Monday

I've got most of my seams done on this block over the weekend...

It's coming along...

I was hoping that I would be finished this block by today, the last day of winter...

But it appears as if there's going to be a Spring snow no matter what I was hoping...

Happy Monday everyone!

I love your snowflake and icicle seems! Do you use a template of some sort to make them so exact?

I Pinned the piece straight away, even tho it's not finished, because I wanted to show your work off to my Pin embroidery community immediately! It's so so beautiful! Every detail is so elegant - so detailed, but tasteful. Detailed, but not overdone. And your colour choice is masterful!
You'll make a convert of me to CQ yet!

Love those colors, they are just amazing. And your crewel work is so exact. Spring has come here too, so I guess if we want a Winter snow we'll have to just dream it.

I love the seam treatments! A wonderful variety, that suggests snowflakes, rock walls, and hoar frost. A lot of stitching, but totally cohesive. Beautiful!

I think I have just figured out that what you are doing is crazy quilting with the aesthetic of Japanese embrodiery....such fine attention to detail on a truly concentrated scale...this is just awesome, Susan.

I just LOVE this block, Susan. Mr. Snowy. the tree, the snowflakes, all are just beautiful. How long did it take to sew those beads onto the lace? Wow!

Your seam treatments are just wonderful Susan. Your choice of threads set the theme. Love the seam treatment with the icicles - what have you used behind the beads? Have not seen it before.

Hi Susan,
Not sure if you remember me. We met at the CQ Adventure in Connecticut. I'm the Jersey girl who now lives in Rhode Island (ugh!!!). Anyway, I have to tell you how much I love your work. It is absolutely spectacular, gorgeous, beautiful -- all that and more. Thanks for posting the photos. Hope all is well with you and yours,
Marilyn
