When Angels become Dancing Santas

Here they are. Jack's eighth grade drama class as dancing Santas. How can you not smile??

Jack, who is scared to death to be on stage, did his best to fade into the background, strategically placing himself behind someone else as often as possible. Plus, he knew I had a camera...

He kept having to scrunch his shoulders and neck because his beard kept falling off...

And when it was all over, he was the first to run off the stage.

The only problem was that all the other Santas went the other way...

And this is what a nativity play looks like at an all-boys school. This is the sixth grade -- the only girl in the show is Mary -- they bribe one of the boys' sisters to do it since in sixth grade nobody wants to play a girl...

It reminded me of Jack playing an angel in sixth grade. *sniff* Check out those motley characters on either side of him. What a hoot!

I doctored the pic in Photoshop because I used it as my Christmas card that year. I couldn't resist.

And this picture...

is the picture I decided not to use. But it made me smile this morning to see it again. It's nice to remember that they were angels once...

Gosh mom, he must have loved you for that. ;-) I think the photos are so precious. Thanks for showing them to us. It brought back memories since all my children are now too old and there's not a grandchild in sight. Maybe one day....

I saw the pic in my blog roll. Saw the title of the post. Then it hit me that it was JACK!!! Cool!

Kids are the way to your heart, aren't they. Cor is getting over being sick and has been home until today. Yesterday Ter called and said Cor felt better and was doing dishes. Laughly I said ask him if he wants money or a big hug. He replied a hug. It actually brought tears to my eyes and at just the moment I needed a lift. Yes, I know he had the aura of a halo over his head at that moment.

Great pics of Jack.
xx, Carol

No hat? I smiled to see your Christmas card. Even now, our photo cards have to get "approved" by the angels....... Thankfully the GK don't yet care. Love your header; it's so cute!

Jack if your mom hadn't told us which one was you, you would have been just another Santa in the crowd, so keep that in mind next time you have to appear on stage..."I'm just another Santa...I'm just another Santa...ohmmmmm"

But then if your school decides to do a Down Under version, you will have to look like all the other Santa's on surf boards and wearing shorts! Oh My!
