I love unexpected gifts.
So I was absolutely delighted that Linda Hubbard sent me one of her favorite children's books where creativity saves the day...
And she included this handmade santa ornament...
He's a real treasure and went right onto the tree.
And, Shirlee Fassell, whom you met a few posts back and saw her gorgeous Vintage Vignettes quilt...
She sent me a "thank you" that included all of these lovelies...
Both gifts really touched me and picked me up just when I needed it.
Here's to unexpected gifts -- may we give them and get them --
And here's to the lovely women who unexpectedly brightened my day.
You are so right. The pleasure is in both the giving and the getting.

ReplyDeleteDo I see lots of aqua in those treasures? What fun you'll have with them. I love the angel in the background; is it metal?
