Branching out...

One leaf at a time.

The foliage will be attached all around the top of the purse -- kind of like it's "trim" and I wanted the effect to be...well...very "leafy"... *giggle

What is it with me and leaves these past few months...first Abundance and now this.

Though one thing I noticed when working with all of this green is how many colors looks so beautiful against it. It really is a neutral of sorts....which is why, I suppose, that our great earth is covered in shades of green.

This red plaid fabric will be the lining.

Now, I have a lot of construction to do and then finishing touches. That may take me a few days. Until then, have a great weekend!

  8. I think this leaf thing just might be the Avatar effect. Green, leaves, nature .... Avatar effect?
You made some very naturistic posts since seeing it...4' snowfalls, hanging shells on trees to replace the missing leaves, leaving 24/7.

    IS THIS PURSE IN 3D?????

  9. This is so beautifull.. I can really see the tree growing. Will be fun to lay down on the virtual grass and see it branch out further.

  11. Leaf: one of the expanded, usually green organs borne by the stem of a plant. Yes, well you have outdone yourself with the impressive variety of green organs you've created. I am so anxious to see this masterpiece. Oh, did I mention it's very exciting watching you turn over a new leaf. :)

  12. What a terrific project,Susan. I love the lining fabric and of course the rest as well. I would guess your appreciation for "green things" stems from the huge amount of fluffy white stuff you've had everywhere of late. I feel the same way when the spring flowers appear, so much color and so welcome after all the grey days. Can't wait to see the completed purse.

  13. What a show stopping piece this will be! I have recently come to love green as well- eventhough I ahve been an avid gardener for years!!! I am finally seeing the huge connection between color against the neutral background of all of the greens of nature-Sometimes it takes quite awhile for things that are right in front of me, to penetrate my brain!!! Without green the garden would be lost!!! Love what you are doing here and can't wait to see more!!!
