Highlights of a Week in Ocean City MD

We Played Games...

We Played in the Sand...

We Played in the Ocean...

We Played in Kayaks...

And we went Tubing on the Boat...

And with 10 kids, there was a lot of Waiting For Your Turn on Turtle Island...

We Rode Bikes on the Boardwalk...

And we had a Lobster Feast where we Ate Like Kings and Queens...

And Jim put out the crab trap and caught enough crabs to bring them home...

And we steamed them and had a Crab Feast...

And I Played with my Needles

And for those of you who wondered last week how Jack survives having nine girl cousins...I figured out how to take a video with my camera and upload it to YouTube so you could see for yourself.

Here are his cousins dancing on the boat on the way back from tubing making up their own dances. So here they are, doing "The Moe", "The Grace" and their interpretation of "The Jack"...

And the only low-light of the whole week was that my oldest niece, Carolyn, is working in Madison, WI for the Summer and wasn't able to come. We missed you Carolyn.

I'll see you all tomorrow for Charm School.

  1. Oh, it sounds like a kid filled noisy weekend. How do they make so much noise? I've never quite figured it out. And girls always scream! It is a mystery! One that makes me giggle a bit.

  4. Welcome home, Susan! I assume you're resting up by doing laundry, grocery shopping, etc.? We've about recovered from our month away except for the yard..... Hey, you need to go visit your niece in Madison! We spent a couple of days there enroute to MN and really enjoyed ourselves....lots of water and pretty scenery and good eats in that place. I will be anxious to see your latest charm school adventure!

  7. Oh Susan...what an awesome week!!! Jack definitely is a hero in my opinion!!! ha ha And what happens in a couple of years when he has to be their "protector from all the boys that come a knockin'"?? He's certainly going to have his hands full!!! ha ha ha I'm so glad that you have family time because time goes by so quickly and it won't be too long before more and more of the kids wont' be able to make it. So the memories, videos and photos now are a treasure!

  12. Such fun all week....
That pic of you in the tire is so absolutely adorable!!! Really, really cute.
And Jack, while looking pained as the dancing began, really did enjoy the ending, didn't he?

I have so much catching up to do now that I am home, too! Can't wait to see your other entries....xoxo
