Hello January

January beckons and I am home in every sense of the word.

Though I enjoyed my unplanned break from technology, I missed being here.

I'm falling under the spell that is January...of warm blankets and cold, crisp walks.  Of savory suppers and and solitary days.  Of frosty mornings, snow falling and journeying within.   It's peaceful today...making space for wonder and dreams...and for new embroideries.

It's electric...this January feeling.  And I am charged up and ready to begin.

I'm making my way to the blog reader which is overflowing with all of your unread posts...brimming over with your thoughts, lives and dreams. Just two weeks ago, that unread pile would have been a burden.  Today, it's exciting... an unread book, full of promise.

Happy New Year and I'll see you again tomorrow...

It feels good to say that.

You know the hollow in the tree of your "owl" piece (that's what I call it, coz I love the owl)? I'm very fond of the hollow too, and it's inspired me to put a hollow in the largish tree that features on the 2 Thistle Thread casket panel designs that I've done so far - only mine will be in gimp. Maybe, maybe some mica to fill the hollow.
Welcome back, and looking forward to a New Year's of Posts.

Oh, the winter piece is so lovely! The bunny, the owl, the feeling of cold it imparts.....just spectacular! I am among the people who missed you. I'm a fairly new follower, but I love your posts as much as I love your work. It is so inspiring, and the stories about your family really warm my heart. So much love among you. It is so much fun to look forward to the posts.

Oh my goodness I have missed you. Your Winterland stitchery is beautiful in its mirrored frame.
I definitely remember my Grandma having these little red and green elves. Yours are fabulous and what a wonderful way to carry on your family tradition. Uber cute in your hand stitched outfits. Creative Bliss and welcome back dear...
