I love unexpected gifts.
So I was absolutely delighted that Linda Hubbard sent me one of her favorite children's books where creativity saves the day...
And she included this handmade santa ornament...
He's a real treasure and went right onto the tree.
And, Shirlee Fassell, whom you met a few posts back and saw her gorgeous Vintage Vignettes quilt...
She sent me a "thank you" that included all of these lovelies...
Both gifts really touched me and picked me up just when I needed it.
Here's to unexpected gifts -- may we give them and get them --
And here's to the lovely women who unexpectedly brightened my day.

You are so right. The pleasure is in both the giving and the getting.

Unexpected gifts are the best kind! And these are especially beautiful. Best wishes for a Merry Christmas!
Do I see lots of aqua in those treasures? What fun you'll have with them. I love the angel in the background; is it metal?
Oh, I'd kill for that rhinestone piece!!! Yuuuuuum!
You lucky lady - your friend obviously knows your tastes *grin*
