Lime, Magenta and Grape

Never lose an opportunity for seeing something beautiful...

For Beauty is God's handwriting.
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

I discovered this glorious palette when I went to deadhead the hydrangeas this morning.

It was a surprise too beautiful to keep to myself. Happy day everyone.

Yes, the dear Lord knows best. I am participating in a felted wool stitch along and planned to use a leaf shape. Try as I might the ones I cut freehand did not look right. I went to the yard found suitable leaves and traced those for patterns. Perfect! So not only did He create a beautiful palette for you, He created a perfect pattern for me!

Nice photos, Susan, of one of my favorite flowers. Are your the white ones? I usually don't deadhead ours till spring as I enjoy seeing the dried ones out there during our winter rains.

Thank you for your wonderful photos. I just love hydrangeas, and the colours of yours have inspired me. Have been working on my greyscale piece that I printed onto linen, and chose lime/avacado as the main colour. Have been puzzling over what other colours to use with this and here they are in your pictures.so hope you dont mind if I steal the colour scheme of these lovely flowers, of gorgeous colours.

I think we should always look to nature for our colour schemes...because mother nature knows best..
