The Great Chesapeake Bay Swim...

It was another blistering day in Baltimore but I spent the day someplace very cool...

Today, I left the shores of Sandy Point State Park with 700 other swimmers

And swam for 4.4 miles in between the two Chesapeake Bay bridges until we reached the opposite shore...It took me 2 hours and 27 minutes.

I swam with my Masters swim team which is a fancy name for a swim team for old people. You can see I was the only girl in the group...

This was my second swim and you can see how happy I was when we finished...

I spared you the pictures of me in the wetsuit because they were not pretty...My next swim is on June 28 when we are traveling to San Francisco for the swim from Alcatraz across the San Francisco Bay...that's if I don't get eaten by sharks...

  6. Well done! Gosh! Very impressive!

I'm no good at anything sporty - have always been rather too 'fragile' for it, but I'd like to have been..... Will have to settle for being arty. Lucky you for having both!=)

It's always a happy day when I see that you've stopped by and left a note. Thanks for taking the time to send me your beautiful thoughts. I try to comment back when life isn't too hectic and when Blogger has your email.

Have a wonder-filled life!
