And look at her work in progress...
I can always count on Irene to bring a visual treat. She was the one who came with those delicious autumn-themed fan blocks a couple of years ago.
And this year, she didn't disappoint...

And better for my waistline than all the candy I'm handing out this evening!
And if that wasn't enough, it did my heart good to see her using her Harikuyo needlebook...

Alas, the very talented Irene does not have a blog :o(
But you can see her cool fan blocks on this post here and more details of her needlebook on this post here. And if we're lucky, I'll see her more frequently than once a year so we can all be inspired by her work more often.
Oh. And if you were wondering about the very cool hat label that's pieced into her block...
I found it for her on this trip to Tinsel Trading in NYC. Lucky for you, Tinsel Trading has an Etsy site and the hat labels are available here.
Happy Halloween!

OMGi's...in this case it stands for Oh My Googly-Eyes! I am vastly impressed. It's ok that Irene has no blog, she doesn't have time for it. I admit to being a fan of this palette choice, but I really like her choice stitches!!
this must be one of the best crazy blocks I have seen what a very talented lady
WOWEE! What a wonderful block. The color scheme is great. I think my favorite stitching was the paisley.
Thank you for sharing her lovely work with us.

Glorious eye candy!!!! Stunning!
I absolutely covet being able to do this. It's hard to find beautiful scraps in my rural area and I can't afford to buy a yard of fabric that costs anywhere up to $60 ayard like I see online. But I think I may troll the thrift shops for old clothing that is made from some interesting materials. But where can I find the beautiful threads that you use? I have a ton of plain embroidery thread that an elderly friend gave me, but I would like to find the metallic or silk ones. Thanks
What a beautiful block, your friend has amazing tallent
Beautiful! You made my day with these inspiring, gorgeous photos!
Terrific block, thanks for sharing your friend's work! French General also has a nice selection of "beret labels" in various colors & sizes--sold by the lot.
