A restorative antidote to the pressing crowds at malls all over America, Jim and I were part of a different kind of flash mob this past weekend in our hometown of Baltimore...

i cried. how wonderful that was!
ReplyDeleteDearest Susan,
ReplyDeleteI'm new to your blog and it has become one of my favorites. Then I opened your post this morning and began crying like a baby. What a wonderful present from my hometown of Baltimore. We live in Pennsylvania now. When my baby was younger we would make the trek to Baltimore for her to see this every New Years eve. Well she's 18 now and it's been a few years since visiting, but the beautiful magic of Christmas shines bright on 34th Street. It's just great to see that all is calm and bright in Hamden on Christ's birthday.
Thank you for opening wonderful Christmas memories. This is the very best Christmas gift I got, from a total stranger, with a generous heart. Thank you so very much, this means more than you'll ever know. What a great plug for Baltimore tourism. Perhaps you should contact Stephanie Rollins-Blake and earn some money for your very positive portrayal of a city that has gotten a bad reputation in the last few years. I'm still proud to call it my hometown because of people like you.
Thanks again my new friend for giving me my greatest Christmas gift, memories of childhood, family and memories of Christmas past. Blessings to you and yours, today and always.

Fabulous! Just reminds us that in spite of the news, most people are lovely. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and wishing you a crafty and creative 2015.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year 2005 to you and your family ! <3
