I love these two gals.
We used to work together and we've been getting together at Christmas time to celebrate our friendship for over 10 years.
We share our lives and get caught up on our past year...reminiscing about where we've been and talking about where we hope we'll go. And, it seems to me, that friends that we only see every so often have insights into our lives that those that see us every day might miss. Our gathering is a constant and it wouldn't be Christmas without seeing them both.
This year, I gave them a Cozy (of course!) and I resurrected the Tweezer Kit that I made last year for a friend's birthday...
It seems like hotels have it in for older women when they don't provide a magnifying mirror in every hotel room. And, if any of you have unsightly facial hair, you know you can't go more than a day or two without plucking a hair or two...it's just a fact.
Enter the Tweezer Kit...which includes a travel magnifying mirror and the best tweezers ever made...Tweezerman...so that you won't come home from a trip with a full-grown goatee...
I hadn't taken a picture before I wrapped them up so my good friends offered to model them for me. Here they are showing you the full kit...
And here they are showing you their monograms...
(Aren't they cute?) Move over Vanna White!
I made the monograms by using chipboard letters from scrapbooking supplies as a template...
Thanks to my friends for being such great models and for a wonderful day.
Did I mention how much I love them?
Thank you! I was just racking my brain for a last minute gift idea. The Tweezerman Tweezer Kit is the perfect thing!

You are so lucky to have such beautiful friendships!! What a great idea for gifts! I may need to put one like that together before my next vacation!
ReplyDeleteDear Susan,
ReplyDeleteYou have so many lovely friends. I love your tip on how to make a letter template for the monogram. I'll have to give that a try.
Wow, Susan, your list must be a mile long! Merry Christmas to you and your family. I'm going to email your BB recipe to my DD; the GK will go crazy over them!
ReplyDeleteIn the spirit of celebrating friendships, I just want to tell you how much I enjoy your blog. You always have such fun material and wonderful pictures. Have a very happy holiday season, and keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteThat tweezer kit is a great idea. I have a pair of Tweezerman tweezers in my travel bag, but adding a 10x mirror is something I didn't think of. Thanks!
