I so look forward to seeing all your yummy embellishments.

You had left a comment at one of my BJP posts about dyed beads - and yes, all kinds have dyed ones, even Delicas! My general rule of thumb - any color of bead that is very rich and intense, most likely is dyed, esp. pinks, fuchsias, and purples. If it's a rich teal, for instance, it might actually be sky blue underneath. Sometimes you can tell if you crack one in the jaws of a pair of pliers. The metallic galvanized coating will often rub off, and the inside color of color lined beads often fades in bright light. You can also test beads prior to use - I think Robin has an article about it at her Beadlust website or blog. I used to know of a few websites that listed this information by bead number and manufacturer, but they seem to have removed that these days, not sure why!
Warmest good wishes -
NancyC at 08BJPAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24975998.post-39608720508031506442008-09-07T21:19:00.000-05:002008-09-07T21:19:00.000-05:00What a great tribute to a wonderful character.
