I've got most of my seams done on this block over the weekend...
It's coming along...
I was hoping that I would be finished this block by today, the last day of winter...
But it appears as if there's going to be a Spring snow no matter what I was hoping...
Happy Monday everyone!
Such a beautiful block. So full of feeling. And the owl is just perfection.
ReplyDeleteI love your snowflake and icicle seems! Do you use a template of some sort to make them so exact?
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful block! Your owl is just a stunning boy! And I am in love with the snowflake seams, just a wonderful block altogether. Thank you for sharing.

ReplyDeleteI Pinned the piece straight away, even tho it's not finished, because I wanted to show your work off to my Pin embroidery community immediately! It's so so beautiful! Every detail is so elegant - so detailed, but tasteful. Detailed, but not overdone. And your colour choice is masterful!
ReplyDeleteYou'll make a convert of me to CQ yet!
Love those colors, they are just amazing. And your crewel work is so exact. Spring has come here too, so I guess if we want a Winter snow we'll have to just dream it.

ReplyDeleteI think I have just figured out that what you are doing is crazy quilting with the aesthetic of Japanese embrodiery....such fine attention to detail on a truly concentrated scale...this is just awesome, Susan.
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE this block, Susan. Mr. Snowy. the tree, the snowflakes, all are just beautiful. How long did it take to sew those beads onto the lace? Wow!
