Okay that researcher was smoking some of that snow (huantla-special snow rolled into "snow reefers" and smoked) or somebody was pulling his leg... I LOLed over "tla-na-na-snow mixed with the sound of old rock and roll from a portable radio" and "depptla-a small snowball, preserved in Lucite, that had been handled by Johnny Depp" He put those in to see if anyone REALLY read the list... But the eskimos do have great reverence for snow... I'll have to email you privately about the "yellow snow" problem at our house... Gerry K.
Beautiful flakes!! Love all the words for snow! A few would be interesting to investigate more! The ones that made me chuckle were the snows that were sold to tourists!

I'd heard that but never seen a list! Wonder how they remember them all? Also wonder whether we have as many words for rain? LOL Are you having SNOW today? BTW those are very pretty mittens!
