Remember a few weeks ago I sent my niece Cate a workbook to help her design her own jean jacket?
Well, here are her choices that came in the mail yesterday...I think she did a great job and I'm so excited to get started!
And she included this special request...
And this very cute thank you note...
But this!! This my friends, is the diamond in the rough, the gem in the ointment...this little spark of inspiration, this litte treasure to work with...
Stay tuned...ribbit....ribbit...
Oh my goodness! This is one fun project!! Can't wait to see how you complete it, I'm sure she'll have the coolest most personal jacket around!

What a fun project and a cute niece!
ReplyDeleteHow FUN!!! I love doing projects like this with my 5 nieces. Being the "crafty" aunt has so many advantages! Can't wait to see what the two of you come up with.
ReplyDeleteThere is not an emoticon to click on: to "squeal my glee" for this wonderful posting. I am loving Cate's posting, and your interpretations with the needle will be divine. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteHop to it Auntie Susan! Like Little Cate, I just can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteSusan that is so wonderful to share the beauty of your relationship with your niece and her correspondence! How wonderful as well to inspire her creativity. I know whatever you come up with will be a treasure! Looking forward to updates as the project progresses! and maybe some photos ; - ).
ReplyDeleteBrilliant stuff - love seeing all of Cate's thoughts - really looking forward to seeing the transition from paper to finished item - but the best will be if we get to see a picture of Cate modelling the jacket that she helped to create with her Auntie Susan :0) what an adventure for you both xxx
ReplyDeletei just noticed Kermit on the right...it isn't easy being green either, or maybe my dad said it better, "As the Turd Whirls"....
ReplyDeleteI just can't wait to see what you do with this. We are back in Chicago after a wildly hectic weekend and a very long drive. A couple more days and we'll be back home in Seattle....
